L’Ermitage is the ideal starting point to enjoy Meudon and its famous national forest, a wonderfully preserved natural area only a stone’s throw away from Paris.
Covering 1,100 hectares, the Meudon forest is the largest forest in the Hauts-de-Seine. Discover and enjoy the ponds, glades and undergrowth that nature has to offer, whether on foot along the marked trails, on horseback (a riding school is located next to our hotel), or by bicycle (available for hire at the hotel).
16.5 km of marked trails – 55 km of forest trails –

A few minutes from the hotel, you can take a walk on the banks of the Seine.
Discover an exceptional view of Paris from the Observatory’s terrace.
Visit the Orangery, one of the last remains of the Domaine Royal de Meudon, which in winter hosts the orange trees of the Jardin des Tuileries.
In terms of culture, discover the Museum of Art and History of the City of Meudon or the Auguste Rodin National Museum or take a tour through the Maison de Wagner. It was in Meudon that the German composer completed “Le Vaisseau Fantôme”!
For sports enthusiasts, enjoy the facilities of the Marcel Bec Intercommunal Complex or the Club Hippique des Etangs de Meudon. In the heart of the forest, the club offers many equestrian activities (courses and workshops, walks, carousels…).
